Opera recently released it’s latest version of browser Opera 10.10 with a promise to “reinvent the Web” The new feature which it termed to reinvent the web is called Opera Unite, which is just like a server within a browser.
What is Unite Service ?
Unite service is basically a cloud based server which allows you to share information from you computer without storing any data on external servers.
You can serve files, stream music and send messages to each other from inside the browser itself.
Multiple services are provided by Unite, but you can also write and share your own services with the help of Open API available.
In the initial offering default Unite Homepage gives each user a “fridge” something similar like Facebook message wall, an instant messenger, media player for music streaming, photo sharing app and file server with Web hosting capabilities.
The Web Server application enables you to host your Web sites from your own computer.
